I think we should concentrate on stopping extremist Islam before we worry about climate change...but that’s just the point of view of a rational person.

The United Nations hopes the two-week talks in Bali that begin on Monday will lead to an agreement to launch a two-year dialogue to decide on a successor to Kyoto, whose first phase ends in 2012. 10 years before the natural ebb and flow of the planet’s climate reveals that we aren't irretrievably in trouble. 10 years more available to the genuflectors and hucksters.

"We at the UN have come into possession of some very startling evidence that the majority of the damaging climate effects we are experiencing are coming from one particular culprit: Sunspot activity. So I know you will all be understanding and supportive of our unique solution: We are going to blow up the sun.
The sun has been an old friend for many hundreds of years, I am told, and I know we are all going to miss it, but this must be done for the children."

The report singled out the United States and Australia as the only major Western economies not to cripple themselves while China goes unpunished in any way by signing the Kyoto Protocol, an agreement signed by 172 countries to reduce emissions. It expires in 2012. There. Fixed it.

I think that the eco-nuts are hoping to implement some of their reforms soon enough to take credit for the eventual long-term future stability of the environment. I cringe at the thought of the ‘I told you so’ chants from the socialist left if they are able to take credit for fixing something that was never broken.

The UN puts a ten year time frame on this because they know if they wait longer, the masses will finally realize what a fraud this is.

I remember hearing the same thing ten years ago, I guess we haven’t sent enough money in yet.

Ten years ago, a UN report indicated that we only had ten years left to repent. Otherwise, we would be doomed. I do not see much repenting in the last ten years, just a lot of hot air pushing a new industry. Coping seems much more reasonable than chasing this impossible dream of greenhouse gas reduction.
