Sad story....one of those that makes you feel your heart.
James’ personal story definitely pulled at my heart strings. I pray he can turn his life around.
I pray he gets the help and peace he so desperately wants.
Please ping me when the next part is written.
I personally contacted the author of this piece, Luis Sinco from the L.A. Times, and informed him that contrary to what Sinco’s wife said, Miller WAS NOT KICKED OUT OF THE MARINE CORPS!
He was given an HONORABLE DISCHARGE!
Sinco’s response was “if you have a beef contact my editor.”
And I told him, IT WAS HIS MISTAKE. FIX IT!
Of course, Sinco is not interested in reporting the truth because that would go against his purpose of writing an antiwar, anti-military hit piece!
As far as Marine Miller is concerned, there are plenty of sources who can & will help him including this Marine who he knows how to get in touch with. All he has to do is ask.
Miller needs to get off the smokes, fill up the tank of his motorcycle with some of that $2500 per month he receives and go visit some of his fellow Marines who are in a hellofalot worse shape than he is, in hospitals all over America and STOP FEELING SORRY FOR HIMSELF.
Semper Fi,
Kelly
The story says the guy is getting $2500/mo. disability. Not a lot but enough to get by. He needs to get off the bottle, get counseling, and get back with his wife. And he needs to have a little talk with Jesus.
Oh yeah, and quit smoking!
Me too. I want to hear about this young Marine and his long road to recovery. PTSD is a tough tough recovery. In a way, it’s a zigzag line of frustration but oh, so worth it. Hang in there, Marine. If I can do anything, please FReepmail me, otherwise, I’m right here with you in prayer all the way.
Blessings,
Jane
I don’t much care for their use of the flag as a couch cover.

If you put together a ping list for this, count me in please.
Ditto!
I think the guy has earned the benefit of the doubt. Don’t you?
Semper Fi.
He can have special “Twinkie Dispensation” to wear anything he wants to at his wedding. . So be it. . Done and Done . . .
Look at the edge/hem.
It’s simply a blanket printed with the flag emblem.
And out of anyone who has earned the right to use the flag motif in his decor - this guy definitely qualifies.
I still have that picture in my office (downstairs) too. My daughter asked me “who is that again?” just the other day. We’ll say a prayer for him tonight.
I’m an old school Vet where respect for the flag is very strong. I know attitudes have changed but I still dont much care for their use of the flag as a couch cover.
Thanks for posting this MotleyGirl. God bless and watch over this Marine.
May the Lord keep this brave man in His arms and bring him peace and fulfillment.
MotleyGirl, if you are doing a ping list for an update on this story, please ping me as well.
I pray for healing for this boy.
Sad, sad tale.
Please ping me for the next part of the story.
