I hope so.

If he was shot in the leg I can’t see how it should have killed him even with a large loss of blood. Unlees the blood loss lead to brain damage before the EMT’s got to him. More information is needed.
piercing the femoral artery will bleed you out as quickly as any other major artery. Sad but true.
I heard he got shot in the junk. A jealous husband perhaps?
If the femoral artery was nicked or cut, you will bleed to death very very quickly. Even if help arrives in time, the chances of regaining use (if any)of the limb is questionable at best.
I read a report that said he had had a home invasion before...this time they came armed and shot twice one shot missed,...one didn’t!
I seriously doubt that based on what we know so far.
If I were a policeman, I would start my investigation by looking at all of the guys involved with the ATV theft incident from a couple of years ago and their associates and family members, and work my way from there.
It is more common than one might think.
The gunshot causes massive microtramua that presents cumulative and escalating effects.
Namely, massive disruptions of the capillary beds and lymphatic systems that leads to a bleed out that cannot be prevented or controlled by any means at all.
Taylor dies after being shot at home
*******************EXCERPT********************
"According to a preliminary investigation, it appears that the victim was shot inside the home by an intruder," Miami-Dade County police said in a statement. "We do not have a subject description at this time."
The attack came just eight days after an intruder was reported at Taylor's home. Officers were sent to the home about 1:45 a.m. Monday after Taylor's girlfriend called 911.
Sharpstein said Taylor's girlfriend told him the couple was awakened by loud noises, and Taylor grabbed a machete he keeps in the bedroom for protection. Someone then broke through the bedroom door and fired two shots, one missing and one hitting Taylor, Sharpstein said. Taylor's 1-year-old daughter, Jackie, was also in the house, but neither she nor Taylor's girlfriend was injured.
Police found signs of forced entry, but have not determined whether they were caused Monday or during the previous burglary.
The shooting happened in the pale yellow house Taylor bought two years ago. In last week's break-in, police said someone pried open a front window, rifled through drawers and left a kitchen knife on a bed.
"They're really sifting through that incident and today's incident," Miami-Dade Detective Mario Rachid said, "to see if there's any correlation."
Where is that rumor coming from? Haven’t heard that anywhere..
Miami is a high crime area, but something I found strange in a report I heard. His fiance said he heard and intruder and went out to confront the intruder with a machete. It said she tried to call for help, but the phone lines had been cut. Now that may be, but in this day and age and at the age of these folks, everyone has a cell phone. So I will await a full police investigation to find out if it was truly a violent home intruder or some sort of set up for some reason.
Presumably from a conjecture based on the fact that the girlfriend is the only witness, that he was shot in a very sensitive area and that she called in to 9/11 after he had already lost most of his blood.
Redskins' Taylor faces 46 years in prison ^
****************************EXCERPTS*********************
Michael Grieco, an assistant state attorney, said the charges reflect Taylor's alleged threatening of three people with a gun in an armed confrontation over an all-terrain vehicle on June 1. Taylor, 22, now faces three counts of aggravated assault, each of which carries a minimum sentence of three years and a maximum of 15 years in prison. He also faces one misdemeanor battery charge that carries a potential one-year prison term.

Same ‘something isn’t quite right’ feeling here.
Cut phone lines? Thats hardly ‘the norm’ for a burglary. It does happen, but the ‘professional feel’ this gives off is usually associated with safe crackers, not burglars looking to make a quick 100 bucks from the local ‘fence’ to buy some crack cocaine.
Yep, everybody has cell phones, so this is even weirder.
Finally....if he ‘walked out to confront’ how did he get shot in the BEDROOM?
I suspect the next few days will be very very interesting.
