BOSTON -- Lawmakers on Beacon Hill are set to consider a proposed ban on spanking children in the commonwealth.
NewsCenter 5's Shiba Russell reported that the issue is set for debate at a Statehouse hearing Wednesday morning.
The Boston Herald reported that State Rep. Jay Kaufman filed the spanking ban petition at the request of an Arlington, Mass., nurse who wants Massachusetts to become the first state in the country to stop corporal punishment.

We can still virtually spank in
cyberspace.
First time I tried, I scored 140mph. By the third attempt, I was up to 244 mph. From what I recall, my Mom (may she rest in peace) would have scored supersonic.

Rep. Marzilli from Arlington tried this in July of 2005 at the behest of Left Coast Loon, Jordan Riak from Project No Spank. It went nowhere.

The Book of Proverbs tells us that we need to give the rod to our rebellious children to correct them. It’s integral to free exercise.
