Do you know why he’s stepping down in December?
Well that puts the cap on the scuttlebutt I had been hearing as well. Guess he wants a piece of the lobbyist pie. Can’t blame him he’s been staring at it for years...

Sorry the seat will be up for grabs next time, but can’t say I’m sorry to see Trent Scruggs, I mean Lott, go. Hopefully, we will able to hang on to the seat.
Trent Lott will hold a news conference this morning at 11am at the La Font
Inn in Pascagoula. He will announce his plans to resign his senate seat,
and the reasons why. WLOX News will carry that news conference live on both
WLOX-TV and on WLOX.COM.
