There sir, you are most certainly correct.
I don’t know how old you are EEE, or if you were voting age in ‘92 but, I was. I was so ticked at George H. W. Bush for his “Read my lips...” debacle that I voted for Ross Perot.
I, and millions of other Americans regret that vote because it gave us 8 years of Bill Clinton and, from the way it’s looking now, possibly 8 more year of a more nefarious Clinton; Hillary.
Please reconsider.
We are turning into a party of Chicken Littles. I'd rather a Rudy or any Republican--even a RINO--over Hillary. Some people seem to think that means I WANT a RINO, but I can't prevent people from lying about the point. Rudy wouldn't destroy this party. What is destroying this party is that it is becoming so very narrow in its views that it is pushing people like me away--people who aren't moderate, but aren't religious conservatives, either.
In the process, conservatives will leave the party and completely doom any possibility of changing the party from within. I have heard this ridiculous "I stand on my principles, you don't" crap forever, and it is so childish, so lacking in realism.
Ronald Reagan was a conservative who understood that he couldn't have it his way all the time. Thinking about such things as his signing of an amnesty bill into law, I have to wonder how many people here would be calling him "Ronaldo" the way they call the president "Jorge". The definition of a Republican is getting narrower and narrower, and those who threaten to stalk off seem to think they will just establish a True Conservative Party and start running things. They are deluded.
RINOs won't kill us, because the people who toss that label around don't seem to know what being a Republican means.
“And we will no longer listen to Sean Hannity ...”
I’ve dramatically reduced my Hannity exposure. He seemed to be encouraging me to fear Hillary Clinton more than God.
Not this social conservative. I’m not a huge Rudy fan, but I did like him as Mayor of NYC. I don’t think he’s Satan, lol. I like Duncan Hunter but I don’t think he’ll win the primary.
The GOP isn’t socially conservative or even fiscally conservative anymore. It hasn’t been for the last few years at least.
I’m hoping a huge movement for a 3rd party happens soon, soon enough for the 2012 election. A social, fiscal conservative party that is strong when it comes to WOT, Immigration, any US interests.
Unfortunately, I think we’re gonna be screwed and then the country will wake up. Well, the part of the country that’s still asleep anyway. So much that is happening is so mirroring WWII and immediately prior to WWII. I just pray the US is as strong as it was then. We seem so soft now but I still have hope.
I suspect it isn’t going to work this time around either. The Party isn’t going to be united behind whoever the nominee is I fear.
I get the impression from many that they would rather see President Hillary if they can’t get their candidate nominated. It is the same kind of thinking that some German political parties voted with Hitler thinking they could either control him or he would be weak and they could then replace him with their own.
So the premise of this article is misleading and manipulative.
Great point. My attitude is vote your heart in the primary, vote R in the final election.
Interesting that you mentioned Ronald Reagan. I was reading Deaver’s book about him and was reminded that Reagan picked a moderate to liberal running mate in 1976.

It’s a faith issue with me. I’m ok with voting for what I believe is right.
We’ll see. It depends on who’s playing:’)
A dictator would love this setup. The liberal MSM and the deep pockets unite to pick the candidates to present to the sheeple and then we give him our backing 100% all the while thinking we actually had a say in it all.
Yeha!
Welcome to the peoples republic of America.
Why just vote for a cheap imitation? Get the real thing, cankles and all.
I'm going to vote Conservative, whatever party that involves.
yawn
How silly.
Interesting. He also strongly considered Ford for VP, and I don’t think anyone considers Bush 41 a conservative, and he was even less of one when he ran for president in that election.
If you are tired..go back to sleep, it’s fine by me.
Well if he can split up FRiends that doesn’t bode well for the party does it?
No, just tired of the childishness.
