A British woman who had an abortion 10 years ago and was later sterilized did so because she believes pregnancy is bad for the environment, the London Daily Mail reported Sunday. Toni Vernelli, 35, hopes her actions would ensure her carbon footprint would be kept to a minimum, the Mail reported. The environmental advocate also sees having children as an egotistical act. "Having children is selfish. It's all about maintaining your genetic line at the expense of the planet," Vernelli told the Mail, adding she believes bringing new life into the world only adds to the problem. Another woman, 31-year-old Sara Irving, also underwent sterilization because she felt "a baby would pollute the planet." Irving became an environmentalist as a teenager when she realized saving the environment was her top and foremost priority in life, the Mail reported. After going through several boyfriends she finally found her now husband Mark Hudson who shares in her ‘no kid’s policy.’

In a very wicked sense, I almost think Republicans ought to be in favor of NOT outlawing abortion. That way, future Democrats and Leftists will continue to abort their potential replacements.
In this case, I agree that pregnancy is bad for the environment since it is a Liberal moonbat who had her fetus aborted. No doubt, others have noted that the majority of those getting abortions are lefty wacko’s; while I oppose unrestricted abortion, I’d be a lot more upset if it were Conservatives aborting their kids.

I’d be interested to see her reaction when it is finally proven that global warming is a natural occurrence that has little to nothing to do with human activity. Sucker!! But hey, let Liberals advocate abortion on demand and just not having kids. We Conservatives will keep pumpin’ out the young’uns and in no time we’ll be the majority for the foreseeable future.
The book Freakonomics discussing what you are talking about, in a sense. The book says that roe/wade is what later caused a massive drop in crime. The drop in crime can be directly linked to a sudden spike lower in virtually all violent and non violent crimes. The book cites Romania as an example, where they previously had abortion, then Ceucescu(sp?) outlawed it. In a twist of irony, he was later executed by his own people, after young people created the demonstrations to overthrow him.
A cold subject, controversial theory to be sure, the Author has had to defend himself no doubt. He does state that the benefit of much lower crime, is not worth the cost of abortion, even if you could equate 100 fetus, to one life. You could not save one human life, even if you aborted 100 “unwanted” children.
In fact, kill yourselves immediately to reduce your evil carbon footprints.
