I shut them up with the simple fact if Gore could not even carry his OWN state, Florida is really a moot point.

About 4 years ago I had to visit a remote Tennessee town that required me to pass through carthage, the publicized Gore hometown. I was dreading it. I didn’t want to see the “Home of Vice President Al gore” Crap.
To my absolute suprise there was none, nothing, nada. There is more AlGore signage in my county 250 miles away. It is a sign on I81 indicating Albert Gore Sr is father of the interstate system.
Tennesseans didn’t like Al in 2000; but Fred Thompson is a candidate they like
Could easily change to:
Texans didn’t like Al in 2000; but Fred Thompson is a candidate they like

We caught the last few minutes of Fred with Chris Wallace! Will be looking for a full transcript and video. After a disappointing, yet not unexpected, outcome in the Iron Bowl, Fred's interview was refreshing!

This brings up some questions about who the GOP candidate should be. No President has won the general election without winning their home state.
Why are Mitt and Ruddy being considered.. Does anyone think Mass or NY will go GOP in 2008?
