Victims of Iran war with Iraq found in mass grave
BASRA, Iraq (AFP) A mass grave containing 30 corpses of people killed during the Iran-Iraq war, including Iranian soldiers, was found on Sunday near the southern Iraqi port city of Basra, officials said.
Mahdi al-Timimi, an official with a local human rights group in Basra, said the grave was uncovered in Al-Zubair town, east of Basra city.
"Several local people discovered the grave after which we sent our team to the site and found 30 corpses, including those of Iranian soldiers," he said. "The team was able to identify the Iranian soldiers from their identity tags."
A security official from Basra confirmed the find.
The Iran-Iraq war which raged from 1980 to 1988 killed more than a million people from the two countries.
The million dead and countless wounded and all their families and friends thank you, Jimmy Carter.
Iraq would never have dared to attack Iran under the Shah.
Jimmy Carters stupidity plunged the whole region (and world) into chaos.
1979 saw the:
-Islamic takeover of Iran
-Saddams takeover of Iraq
-Soviet invasion of Afghanistan
...and Carter continues to grin with his stupid grin and supports dictators and communists everywhere.
You forgot Nicaragua
What is the Jimmy Carter foundation going to do with the donations? Build Habitats for Terrorists or finance the overthrow of Musharraf?
Probably
EXACTLY!
If the whole truth be told, it is even more incidious than most Americans know. But the little nut job knows.
Right, forgot to mention his disastrous failures outside the Middle East... all in one year.
What is the Jimmy Carter foundation going to do with the donations? Build Habitats for Terrorists or finance the overthrow of Musharraf?......................... Nah, its for better safe houses for terrorists coming through Arizona and New Mexico.
