Then why be so adamantly opposed to the idea that many suspect that certain factions in and out of the government, elected officials and bureaucrats, are working toward the goal of a NAU? Especially when some have said so, publicly?

Because I'd rather work toward preventing the formation of the NAU, instead of working toward preventing a coordinated response to avian flu, while thinking that I'm working toward preventing the formation of the NAU.
