Here is a movie issued today proposing a neo-Nazi/islamofascist/911 truther theory. Pictures and music are effective and fun-to-watch propaganda. Reminiscent of video earlier this year pitching an Iraq theory in style.
First comment to video summarizes:
"Microbiologist working with Bin Laden's sheik and recruiting for the Taliban worked about 15 feet from the USAMRIID head and famed Russian bioweaponeer. Ali Al-Timimi. Sentenced to life plus 70 years for sedition. High security clearance for work for the Navy. Letter of commendation from WH. Once worked briefly for Andrew Card while he was at DOT. In bioinformatics program co-sponsored by the American Type Culture Collection. Access to Center for Biodefense facilites funded by DARPA ($13 million). Taught by Bin Laden's sheik al-Hawali in Saudi Arabia. On first anniversary of the mailings to Senator Leahy and Daschle, hand-delivered to every member of Congress letter warning against invading Iraq. Senior jihadist who met with Atef and Ayman (head of anthrax program) in summer of 2000 says purpose to deter invasion of Afghanistan. Promptly questioned by FBI. Confidential security and criminal investigation ongoing."
The reason the WH took Cipro was, as the WP explained in Fall 2001, it was a bio attack that was expected. (For example, former NY FBI OBL head John O'Neill was advising WTC head that an anthrax attack was expected which is why they bought biohazard suits; this was all the subject of testimony before a Congressional committee and so it is baseless to use the tired "they were already taking Cipro" argument.
But I do recommend watching it. If only people with the talent to do these videos took the time to put music and pictures to the truth supported by the evidence.
For background and evidence and the new development of a possible new trial threatened by the federal district court judge in the Al-Timimi case (because of an issue of NSA wiretapping), see

Interesting.
Anthrax was targeted against the weak members of Congress.
Somewhat like the protests during the 1968 Democratic Convention.
As for the reason for targeting the particular Senators.
http://mysite.verizon.net/vze43v8m/alqaeda,anthraxd.html#Leahy%20Law
Indeed, targeting the top legislator and the security law person was exactly their pattern and modus operandi in the 1990s in Egypt.
http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze43v8m/alqaedaanthraxay.html#TargetedAssassination
The December 2003 issue of the Acumen Journal of Life Sciences
named Dr. Alibek and Dr. Bailey as two of the top five biological warfare experts in the nation. I fully expect another expect among the top 5 would be another frequent helpful consultant to theses at GMU, William Patrick.
The Salafist committed to the destruction of the United States was about 15 feet from two of the top five biological warfare experts in the US. Ali shared a fax machine with Dr. A and Dr. B. Another of the top 5 experts walked the halls, helpfully providing insights to students.
Al-Timimi had hand-delivered to every member of Congress a letter warning against invading Iraq on the first anniversary of the anthrax letters. The letter was in the name of the sheik who had been the express subject of the 1996 Declaration of War and the 1998 claim of responsibility for the embassy bombings.
The FBI has known all of this for a half decade. They kept mum for tactical reasons — and found a different means of sending Al-Timimi away for life.
The FBI has been quite brilliant. The abominable leaks about Dr. Hatfill occurred 5 years ago. Before the NSA intercepted Ali Al-Timimi’s conversations with Sheik al-Hawali.
When Ali was in Rm. 154b, one grad student who recently published a thesis describing the various theories as to weaponization thanks both Alibek and Patrick (and Bailey). While Ali was there, the directory shows she was in Rm. 157. She explained that as to this issue of silica, silica may have been used for “polymerization” — a method used in pharma industry to help the drug get to the intended organ. It would avoid the need for expensive equipment. Thus, it is clear that her advisors, including Patrick who has consulted with the FBI, may now credit TrebleRebel’s theory as to silica (even though it is not used for absorbing moisture as it was used previously in munitions).
TrebleRebel is right about Vander Waals forces. The confusion in part has resulted from people not distinguishing between electrostatic charges and vander waals forces — and instead using the vague phrase “electrical charge.”
There are three major airports in the DC area. The main post office servicing US government headquarters agencies, plus Congress and the White House are located there.
The routing that would be followed by the letters directed against any two Senators would take them through the 2 main DC area airports, the main post office, the facilities directly supporting Congress, the CIA, the DOD, etc.
The ceremonial aspect of the situation was the feeble attempt to "blame the Jews" ~ which pretty much gives you the AlQaida connection (if nothing else did). That was when they used the addresses of two US Senators (Dascle and Leahy) and one major TV news guy (Brokaw) in the exact same, but otherwise nonstandard and unusual, format they had appeared in a website store (about a totally different topic) maintained by Jews for Life.
I hope everybody remembers the immediate ME response was, of course, that "the Jews did it".
Perhaps a key clue will prove to be the computer that accessed the addresses in the particular format. The Wall Street Journal reported in Fall 2002 that freelance computer security consulant Richard Smith Mr. Smith has been following clues. The anthrax letters sent to Sens. Tom Daschle and Patrick Leahy, he noticed that they both bore nine-digit ZIP codes, not the more-usual five-digit codes. “Not a lot of people use them,” he says. “So I started looking at this letter and asked, ‘How would someone get that kind of address?’ “ He tracked down two Web sites that carried nine-digit codes for both senators. Mr. Smith then sent an e-mail explaining his discovery to Juan Cabanela, an assistant professor at Haverford College who maintained one of the sites of congressional addresses. Dr. Cabanela searched his records and found three computer servers that had looked up both addresses. As Clinton Van Zandt, a former member of the FBI’s behavioral-sciences unit in Quantico, Va. said, “Who would not want to be the person who cracked the anthrax case?”
I’ve written Mr. Smith to ask him if the website page you mention is one of the websites. In the meantime, while I wait on his website, do you have a link to the website (using the Wayback Machine) at http://www.archives.org )
that would support your statement that the address was in that format at that URL?
I meant “www.archive.org” not archives.org
Here are the results of the spider crawling over that website dating back to January 2001.
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.jewsforlife.org/
Where do the addresses appear?
Where is there even a store?
What is authority for the statement/claim? Thanks.
Did you get it from some other web poster without actually seeing the addresses in that format? (The distinguishing thing about the address is the full zipcode.) Thanks.
I believe from a previous post you made you understand the website to have contained those addresses from June 2001. Is that right?
Using the Wayback machine results, can you link it from the results in the www.archive.org ?
I believe Al-Timimi did strongly oppose abortion on Islamic grounds and spoke about it at an international conference in China about women and health issues. But the first question is: what evidence is there that the addresses uniquely appeared on the website mentioned?

Dr. Rafil Dhafir, a delegate of the Islamic Assembly of North America
(IANA) and Vice-Chairman of the Assembly, refuted the allegations and
distortions of the speaker. Dr. Rafil proceeded to explain that while
Islam has permitted female circumcision it has not obligated it and that
none has the right to forbid that what Allah, the Creator, has
permitted. Dr. Rafil also corrected the misinformation given by the
speaker that female circumcision is a form of genital mutilation. Dr.
Rafil, who is a practicing physician, referred to the fact that there
are over 170 scientific studies showing that female circumcision when
practiced in accordance with the sunna (or tradition of the Prophet
Muhammad) leaves no physical, psychological, or emotional harm. The
speaker was left unable to respond.

IANA Distributes Its Position Paper
The Islamic Assembly of North America (IANA) distributed over a thousand
copies of its position paper on the UN Fourth World Conference on Women.
IANA also distributed a large number of its conference booklet on The
Wisdom Behind Islamic Laws Regarding Women by Shaykh Abdur-Rahman
Abdul-Khaliq. This booklet is available in five languages among which is
Chinese. Many Chinese delegates showed great interest in this booklet as
it seems to be the only Islamic information in Chinese available at the
Conference. And all praise belongs to Allah.
[This guy Abdul-Khaliq wrote that no treaties may be honored — jihad must be waged, for example, despite the Camp David Accord. The anthrax was sent on the anniversary of the Camp David Accord and Sadat’s assassination (he was killed for entering into the treaty)
But in the booklet by Abdul-Khaliq that was translated by Ali Al-Timimi, what did he say about abortion?
I am not the guy who found it ~ a USPS top level operations analyst did ~ he asked the question "why such a peculiar address format", structured a search with the correct Boolean commands in it, and found the THREE ADDRESS formatted exactly that way in a newsletter on a website as identified.
Interesting, eh?!
FBI has known that little deal since the beginning of the entire investigation.
Top level USPS operations analyst have had the entire structure figured out for 6 years. The FBI ignored 100% of what the analysts told them in favor of some BS concocted by an FBI agent who worked as a PTF on 2nd Tour at a small MPC for 6 months.
The principals at the FBI had no interest in solving the Anthrax case fearing the war-time/war-victims liability due the 800,000 USPS employees who were potentially harmed.
A senior and highly experienced postal analyst at USPS headquarters wrote up a "search" that included all the Boolean structures so that he could find EXACTLY the same format somewhere else.
He hit paydirt instantly. That was the Jews for Life site.
They, in turn, had simply copied the three addresses off their data base system, and that involved ending up placing "BLDG" below the line with the name of the building.
Lots of folks do this when carving up newsletters.
You'd also get the 9 digit Zip for those addresses ~ and I'd just betcha' FEDEX, all by itself, was the source for HUNDREDS of 9 digit Zip searches per day for that floor of the US Senate office building.
Not to say that would be a fools errand to go tracking after those lookups, but, alas, it would.
Remember, "BLDG" below the line ~ that's the meaningful clue.
Now, how do we know it was AlQaida. Well, we don't exactly, but we certainly know the fellow(s) who wrote/copied the addresses on the envelopes follows, to the T, the exact address as published in that newsletter. were foreigners with little command of English, or any Western or Indo-European language. Else, they'd known they could write BLDG on the line.
The Jews for Life folks were just sloppy editors who did know better.
Ask the FBI for their copy.
I would imagine the number of Freepers alone looking it up back in 2002 would have crashed their server on a regular basis.
“FBI agent who worked as a PTF on 2nd Tour at a small MPC for 6 months.”
What does PTF mean?
What does MPC mean?
What BS did the PTF at a MPC he concoct?
I find it interesting if it were verifiable as true. I’m heartened that you say someone found it in an official capacity but disappointed it appears to be secondhand. It would be even more interesting if Richard Smith independent found it to be true at the time. I have looked at the website and am not seeing it.
Separately, how does your claim as to the location and timing of the mailing begin to square with the spores found at the mailbox at 10 Nassau Street in Princeton? (Not in terms of mail flow, but in terms of the spores found in that box). Also, given there was a big difference in potency, why don’t you credit there were two mailings — with return addresses only on the second mailings).
“I have my own copy of the original posting. Copied the whole thing over to FrontPage and then saved it. Lots of people did.”
Very cool. When will you be back at your machine so as to be able to provide it.
In the meantime, I’ll try to find Ali’s translation of Khaliq’s book and its discussion of abortion. Or Ali’s discussion of abortion.
More news at the time posted by IANA delages on the conference:
“Pro-Life, Pro-Choice Clash
Dr. Rafil attended a lecture “Abortion Aftermath” by a US pro-life
group, “International Right to Life Federation” which attempted to
present some recent scientific evidence about “post-abortion syndrome,”
holding that a woman who after an abortion, will feel a sense of guilt,
shame and depression many years after her abortion. A large attendance
by pro-choice partisans fiercely attempted to disrupt the meeting,
causing a shouting match, both sides accusing each other of lies and
deception. It is worth noting that both groups were from the US, and
that a woman from Kenya stood up begging them, “to settle your scores in
the US and not here.” She stated that she never imagined that women from
the US could be so rude with each other when they disagree publicly. And
while she has never been to the US, based on her attendance at this
lecture, she has no plans to visit.”
Speaking of authoritative, I was responsible for writing the Domestic Mail Manual circa 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981.
I am authoritative
The remark about the FBI investigators was an insult to them. Best anyone could tell they had a couple of amateur part-time letter carriers who decided they were experts in USPS operations, and they listened to them and abandoned USPS analysts.
Maybe it was because the postal guys were able to deduce such things as "all the envelopes were taped over and the tape was taken from a single roll" ~ ALL. The guy who figured that out simply lined up the cutlines at the end of the tape.
FBI folks do not like simple answers. That's why they ended up doing their dumpster diving in a small lake in Maryland that they pumped dry to see if there was some junk in there.
The FBI clearly never wanted the case solved.
What happens is that the USPS standard operating practice is to place letter/flat trays in the bottom of letter mail collection boxes on the street. The boxes are made from a corrugated plastic material. It compresses under the weight of mail, and expands as mail is removed from the box. The corrugation "straws" suck air, and any bacteria, "in". Then, when the box is again filled with mail, the "straws" are compressed, and any air, with any bacteria present, are blown out thereby contaminating whatever location the box is in.
These boxes travel at a high velocity through the postal system.
Some mail processing equipment sent from the Brentwood facility in DC for repair elsewhere had already been contaminated. Spores were spread everywhere with that event.
I don't think FBI or USPS have ever made public the degree and extent of contamination.
If this attack had turned out the way it was planned, we are speaking of tens of thousands to millions of people being affected.
Just be glad the terrorists screwed it up.
There were two mailings. Very different potencies. One with return address, one not. Different content in text of letters.
As for the intent, you posit they intended to kill a lot of people.
I posit that they understood the koran to require a warning and that the mailed anthrax was intended to deter an invasion of Afghanistan — it was a warning.
So what is your understanding of the spores in the mailbox at 10 Nassau St?
As for what is authoritative, the FBI has determined there were two mailings. One on or about September 18 and one on or about October 9. With Monday being a federal holiday, it would seem it could have been mailed as early as Saturday.
But putting aside for now any explanation of mailflow, how do you explain the heavy concentration of spores at the mailbox at 10 Nassau St.
I do note though that Abdel-Rahman’s chief aide worked at the Post Office and would be familiar with basic procedures.
How many postal inspectors are there on the task force? 8? 10?
I see that you’ve answered the question about the spores in the mailbox. Thanks.
Note that in Florida on the way to AMI, they traced two different routes going to AMI, as two different addresses were used, one relating to one of the publications at a different, older address.
They could trace the route going inward. There was no tracing from an origin in Florida.
Why would an envelope mailed a week before 9.11 take many weeks to be delivered? How does that make any sense whatsoever?
Al-Timimi would not have been involved in anything resulting in mass casualties in the US. He thought 9/11 was islamically impermissible. Moreover, the thought was that the granting of a visa prevented acting against the host. Finally, he thought there was an individual duty to engage in jihad in defense of the ummah. Thus, he exhorted young men to go abroad. He would only have participated in the use of mailed anthrax if it were a warning. Former Amerithrax head Michael Mason posited that perhaps the mailer did not intend anyone to die. I think he was right. (Indeed, that is why the warning was given and the recipient was instructed to take penicillin).
