I've never posted a live thread before and I did put it in front page news since it was on the front page of the Wall Street Journal as well as the Kansas City Star and I'm sure papers around the midwest. The fun starts tonight at pep rallys. The gates of the parking lot at Arrowhead Stadium open at 9 a.m. tomorrow and as my nephew, who is a reporter for the Lawrence Journal World told us this morning at his grandpa's funeral, the drinking will start then.
This is huge in this part of the country.
TOPICS: Culture/Society; Front Page News; US: Kansas; US: Missouri
KEYWORDS: collegefootball; football; kansas; missouri; rivalry
Please add keywords or topics as appropriate. I just wanted to get the thread going. GO HAWKS

Someone from the East Coast asked me the other day who I would root for if Kansas State played Kansas.
I told them “Al Qaeda”.

Possibly the best college football game in 2007. Hope it lives up to that. Go Tigers!

Since my beloved Temple Owls haven’t been to a bowl in decades, I always pick a Cinderella team and root for them. This year, there wasn’t any choice besides Kansas. This is gonna be one hell of a game!

If you want to start a fight in Kansas or Missouri just say “Bert Coan”. More effective than Quantrill’s raiders or the Lawrence Massacre.
