The title of this week's column was a student protest chant started by Jesse Jackson at Stanford University in the 80's. The idea was to throw out the university's required courses on Western Culture because they were filled with "European and Western male bias" and replace them with courses that teach non-Western cultures and "works by women, minorities, and persons of color." Jackson was successful - today almost all colleges and universities stress A.C.B.W. (Any Culture But Western) courses and ignore the classic teachings of Western civilization's "white men." Looking back now, over two decades later, we can see the results of Jackson's efforts. How do you like it?
Anti-Western civilization is what's cool. Third world is wonderful, Western civ is bad. "Multicultural" is all inclusive, right? Wrong. Anything called "multicultural" never includes the American culture. Colleges and universities have been teaching anti-Western dogma for years; popular music has been rapping that tune for a couple of decades; media like the press and TV and movies push it, and you even see it in the edgy names of big chain retail stores.

I have to believe that the worship of the third world and the under cultures is due because people, especially people under the age of 35 or 40, have been taught that white Europeans were the bad guys that kept the "people of color" down. . . .
So farewell to Plato, Galileo and Isaac Newton. Goodbye to St. Paul, Gutenberg, Columbus, da Vinci and Michelangelo. So long St. Augustine, Homer, Voltaire, Francis Bacon, Beethoven and Johann Bach. See ya, Einstein, Pasteur, Shakespeare and Oliver Cromwell. Adieu to George Washington, Ben Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson. Ta,ta Wright brothers, Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell. And rest in peace Judeo-Christian worldview.

If you opted for a muticultural college education in the 80’s, you’re probably still working in a multicultural career like 7-11 clerk or a McDonalds burger-flipper.
There'll probably be no need for that. One insouciant, smart-mouthed political quip from these self-absorbed naifs and they'll be spending a lot of time in some dank little prison cell.
If we’re going to throw out Western Civilization, then throw out Black Studies while we’re at it. Can’t really say there’s much value in the marketplace for either.
We should be so lucky. More of those grads are probably teaching in university departments with pretentious titles like Womyn's Studies, Multicultural Gender Equity Studies, or Harmonic Global Pacifism Studies.
As we are currently reaping the benefits from advanced progressive education.

I thought not.
The answer to this fundamental question seems to be hidden in the fact that hate is what we know well. It's been around since the beginning of the ages.
No one, man, woman or child, no nation or groups have been able to contain it. Everyone claims they don't have it and everyone claims they are the victims of it. Everyone believes they have the perfect solution for it and yet it lives on.
For the survival of our own species we all build up or defenses against it and war against each other.
Who is this enemy? Is it really a person? Of course, we say, most certainly it must be that other person, that other group, not us... it was the one who struck first. It was "their" fault. But who really struck first? Can we recall a real beginning point to this hate?
It must be in the air we breath, it can not possibly be part of me so it must be you because I know it is there and I can not place my hand on it.
Will you accept that someone must pay for this hate? Will it be you or me? It must be stopped. We all know it must be stopped.
I don't want to pay for the hate of the ages, so will you please pay the price of it for me? No you say, I must be the one, my people and my children.
Well I am not that strong. Find someone else.
And so we will go forward, on and on feeding the hate. Going from one place to the other looking for the one to blame for it all, until someone pays today for yesterday.
Won't someone please volunteer to pay so we can just stop? Is there no one who is willing? Not even for the whole world?
Surely that person will be worshiped for saving us, but no, even if that person did pay for us, we would not recognize it because all we have ever known is hate. We know how to deal with it...blame someone else.
How can we live without it now? It is familiar to us. So we must all worship it instead. We will feed the hate beast daily with grievances of all kinds and will forever until the end, when we all pay.
That price will surely be the death of us all.
Goodbye Jerusalem, Athens and Rome. Hello Mogadishu, Rangoon, and Tehran.
