Were there construction workers present at the time?

No. There were no construction signs either. Just a loose gravel sign, then the 40mph sign.

My mistake. I was wrong about that, and I apologize. It was very very late, and I was very tired.

I watched the video several times again today, and the basis of my siding for the officer, in this particular incident, is still valid.

Fault me all you want for my mistakes, but give the video a fair listen and view, several times, listening openly.

The driver repeatedly tells the officer, NO, I WON’T, YOU CAN’T, I’m NOT GOING TO. The officer had to ask for license and registration at least twice. The officer told him he was speeding six times, by my count, and yet the driver keeps saying “You haven’t told me what I did wrong.”

I am just very upset with posters who went into this with their eyes and ears shut, only paying attention when something they wanted to see or hear happened, and ignored everything else.

This officer, who many referred to as ‘young’, has 14 years on the force.

This driver, showed himself to be a WHINY LITTLE B*TCH trying to get out of a ticket any way he could.

He said he didn’t see the sign, that he wanted the cop to go back there and show it to him. He said that he slowed down when he got to the sign.
So, one way or the other, he was LYING.

I see why the posters who called this cop an ‘out of control pig’ are acting like they have. Their ‘replies’ sound amazing just like the words spoken by the driver of the SUV.

Thank you for your question, and allowing me to explain, and apologize.
