Semper Fi and I agree. In fact the clock doesn't start until the first round is fired, so technically he only had to get off two shots in 6 seconds.

I visited the sixth floor museum and stood at the window next to Oswald’s sniper’s perch (the actual perch is closed off with plexiglass)I have no rifle shooting skills at all but I think I could have picked off the man from there—looked to be incredibly easy shot.
