Hmm, IMO the article may contain some hyperbole, but if true.
how very sad, pathetic really, this woman has deceived herself so completely that she had an irreversable procedure, she can never have children..period..she can watch birds in a nest grow stronger as they are fed by their parents, and one day grow strong and learn to fly and eventually leave the nest.
This woman can now only precariously view life in it’s cycles, consigned to spectator and never participant.
Not necessary or even advisable. She won’t be here in a century. None of us will. That’s soon enough.
This is by far the funniest article I’ve read in a while. Thanks for the laugh.
Dear Toni:
Save the Planet - Kill Yourself!
This woman is beneath contempt. She’s willing to sacrifice an innocent human life to her false goddess, but doesn’t have the courage of her own convictions. If she really cared for “gaia,” she’d have eliminated herself instead.
This isn’t about saving the earth, it’s about the politically correct justification of her own selfish lifestyle choices. Too bad a baby had to die in order for her to make her statement.
You mean it was morally wrong to kill an innocent child she created through her recklessness because it would be a “burden” to the world?
That when she was faced with the choice of killing herself or someone else as to not be a burden on the world that she chose someone else to die?
And all along she she says she’s not selfish?
This is where adolescent leftest thought gets you. Living a total contradiction, unable to see it and the results being dead people - all with the “best” intentions...
The bottom line is that Islam takes over.
I guess you don't care since your children won't have to live through it.
I don't blame you, specifically, I should have had more, myself.
I just hate the way the world is turning out. :-(
You’re not saving the planet, you’re making room for Muslims who have no qualms about having eight children.
Oh, now I understand, my fault for not putting quotes on the first line.
Sorry, Ed and I are most assuredly NOT married.
Bingo.
Exactly.
We will be rid of them in generation.
Ouch.
It is religious zeal.
It's obvious these people worship the Earth.
People, like those in this article, are the ones who usually consider all Christians to be self-righteous. This clearly shows that Christians don’t have the market cornered in that attitude.
"Induced abortion before first term pregnancy increases the risk of breast cancer." (Lancet, 2/22/86, p. 436)
Mom here: Two of the most perfect, precious sons and now I'm getting a daughter by marriage in February 2008 :o)
Now that these do-gooding nitwits have taken care of their offspring, why don’t they do us all a favor and subtract themselves.
What an idiot.
If everyone did this, pretty soon there would be no one here to enjoy the saved planet.
It sounds like a stupid rationalization to me. One of them for sure, and probably both, were too selfish to want children anyway. There are environmentally friendlier ways to have babies. One way is to wash your own diapers like we did. I have yet to meet one mom that would even be think of doing that to “save the planet” (I think there a few women out there who might even if it is more work). You can save the “gray” water and use it in your garden, at least the rinse water, maybe even the soapy. You can strain your own veggies and use the scraps for compost. Some can easily breastfeed saving cans and glass from getting into the landfills (I couldn’t breastfeed). Insist in your baby gift registry that you want only wooden toys lol. Government-mandated car seats will take forever to biodegrade once they hit the landfills. It’s hard to think it all through how to raise your family in an environmentally-friendly manner.
Well they certainly have a valid point. If no one has babies for the next 120 years or so, the earth will flourish. It’s not easy being green.
Amen.
