“If, while making a lawful arrest, an officer observes the suspect refuse to obey his commands, and further observes the suspect walk back towards a vehicle that may have firearms in it, and which is a deadly weapon itself, the officer is authorized to blow the suspect’s head off.”

Yep, turn a revenue generating speed trap into a death penalty machine. Smooth move. How do you sleep at night?

If you don't like the current state of the law, I would suggest that you try to change it, not heap scorn on those who point out what the law is.

Speed traps are illegal in most states and are scorn worthy everywhere.

Abuse of authority, murder, abusing your capacity as a public official, and using excessive force are also illegal.

The OFFICER in this case felt so threatened that he turned his back on the driver for several seconds. The post I was replying to supported use of deadly force for behavior that obviously did not warrant deadly force. Using the logic in that post the officer would be justified to shoot the wife since she was already in the car (aka a deadly weapon). Further, cops would be justified in shooting everyone who was near a vehicle (aka dead weapon).

Sheer nonsense worthy of scorn and condemnation.
