I’m an ardent Fred supporter and have been on record from last winter saying that I wanted Fred to run and win. But I do not understand why his campaign is apparently so lackadaisical, and why the electorate doesn’t recognize his virtues. He’s not just right on the issues, but he expresses the right position beautifully. Why on earth are they supporting Giuliani? It isn’t just that Rudy is the only candidate they’ve heard of—lots of people watch Law & Order. I’m mystified and disappointed.

Me, personally, I like Mr. Thompson and always have. To me, he’s saying the same thing that was said in 1996 (old), and it’s time to get up-to-date and move on and, of course, he’s not motivating and neither is his campaign. I expected more from him and his campaign. It is puzzling.

Yes, wasn’t he on Jay Leno once?

Never interfere with your enemy when he’s in the process of damaging himself.
When two adversaries are fighting it out, let them wear each other out and then wade in.

Works in video games (HALO) and real life China (Mao during and after WWII).

I just don’t get the lacadaisical meme. It seems entirely lacking any evidentiary support. It looks like nothing more than a leftist talking point - a slander, really - that has been picked up and taken on a life of its own.

I just can’t see a single thing about fred that says lazy to me. He has stronger, more detailed positions than any other candidate of either party, he has been consistent longer than any other Republican, he expresses himself well, he is likable.

I just think that the average voter with a tendency toward Fred has been beaten down by the constant slanderous drumbeat of laziness and the he can’t win. What he needs to do to beat that back is to surprise everyone in Iowa. I hope he can pull it off.

He’s getting my vote, and my money.

I agree completely. I just do not understand why Conservatives don’t see what we see. Fred’s position papers are getting no traction in the MSM because they have already chosen the race they want: Hillary vs Rudy. Rudy, Mitt, McCain or Huckabee would be just another RINO in Washington...just what we don’t need.

Fred was already successful, why would he need the crap the MSM is laying out for him? I’ll tell you why, because WE THE PEOPLE asked him to run. Fred took his time, weighed the pros and cons, looked at the field and the positions they were each taking, and stepped up for WE THE PEOPLE!

WE THE PEOPLE must now step up for him and support him with everything we can. America is at stake. People wake up and unite behind this very fine candidate. Are you willing to just sit back and let the MSM make the choice for you?

He needs to speak louder and stop making that face after every point. He needs to sound like he has the courage of his convictions. Then he needs to attack the liberals as a group and talk about how they have hurt the country and just chomp down on that bone and not let go.

Just exactly what is lackadaisical about Thompson’s campaign.

Please cite someplace he should have been where he has not been.

One must show something POSSIBLE to have been achieved that was NOT achieved due to apathy or laziness.

It seems to me that this coverage of Fred is part of an orchestrated attack by the media, to include FoxNews which shamelessly pursued it last night on Brit Hume’s show.

Every network is pro-Giuliani. They DESPERATELY want a liberal versus liberal showdown. Fox News right now is an extension of the Giuliani campaign.
