All that "international bankers/conspiracy/funny money" stuff is outright Nazism--not to mention the fact that we had a "central bank" under the Articles of Confederation and another created by Hamilton and Washington (who certainly knew what was "constitutional" and what wasn't).
At least bank notes are (theoretically at least) backed by actual cash on deposit. These Birchites insist that all evils would cease if "the government" merely printed its own money, backed by absolutely nothing, because then we wouldn't be paying interest to "international bankers!"
And btw, unlike Mr. Hamilton's bank, the Federal Reserve is part of the US government (contrary to Birch/Nazi doctrine).

Actually, the federal reserve banks are semi-private corporations with stock that pays dividends. The government exercises a lot of control over them, but legally they are not part of the government.
