Last weekend, some 62 cm of the white stuff fell in the eastern resort of Davos, while St Antonien received 64 cm and Braunwald got 72 cm of snow on Sunday, states national weather service MeteoSwiss.
According to the report, Switzerland has not received such a strong start to its winter ski season since 1952, with the amount of snow being swept to the southern areas by the wind cited as a particularly interesting feature of the weather.

If they can’t predict 24-36 hours in advance, how can anybody be sure about 20, 40 or even 100 years into the future?

You are all fools!! The Great Wizard of Al says that the snow is caused by global warming: Obviously, if the earth wasn’t so hot, that snow would have come down as ice cubes, which we could have used to cool the atmosphere and save all of mankind or at least liberals in Davos.
But by all sane accounts any recent global warming that might have occured is now over, if it ever existed at all.
The Antarctic now has record amounts of ice, South America had record breaking cold temperatures this past (southern hemispere) winter and record breaking cold and snow in England and continental Europe have been the norm the past two years, just to name a few indicators.
But that han't stopped scammers and politicians from cooking up schemes to get their hands on taxpayer money to penalize us for the CO2 (water vapor) in the air.
They don't do anything to better conditions but they all become wealthier, which seems to be the main goal anyway.
Given that the last ice age was, what, 8,500 years ago, it’s a much more realistic fear.
