Gotta disagree with you! The whole premise of the film was that we have nothing to fear from Islamic terrorism or Cultural Marxism, it's those evil conservatives and Christians who are the threat to liberty. Any film where one of the "heroes" is a homosexual who risks his life to protect a copy of the Koran, and where we're encouraged to cheer while a terrorist blows up icons of Western Civilization, is depraved.
It portrays extreme bias by a news reporter. She is given exclusive information about a military plan that will likely improve public perception about the war. Her boss is anxious for her to deliver the story, but she refuses. She essentially says that she will not report anything that will support the administration or the war. She gets fired.
You could say that the movie is an accurate depiction of the mainstream media bias against the president and the war effort.
The stuff with Redford was extremely weak.
In total, I think the movie had a fairly balanced share of anti-left and pro-left features but not much anti-Americanism. It also portrayed the military pretty positively.
