I will only point out that absolutely any person who has at any time in his life flown a high-performance aircraft will impress those around him/her as the cockiest, most arrogant SOB on the planet.
They have to be, or they wouldn’t have made it through flight training.
If I ever saw a student pilot who didn’t carry himself with self-confidence measured by the ton and a willingness to work to back up that confidence with action, I’d flush him out of the program so fast he wouldn’t have time to find the way to the head. I won’t fly with people who I don’t trust, I don’t trust a pilot who doesn’t absolutely trust in himself and I hate attending memorial services for my brothers.
