Explain what? The fake headline that Jim Robinson fabricated for this thread?
From the article:
lawmakers significantly expanded and changed elements of the governors original proposal.
Also from the article:
They (the social conservative wing of the Republican Party) really dont want a president whos going to be making big changes in health care, he said. But independents would find it very attractive.
In other words, why play up during a primary a health insurance plan to woo social conservatives who really arent interested, rather than wait until the general election when it is an issue he can use to lure independents?
“In other words, why play up during a primary a health insurance plan to woo social conservatives who really arent interested, rather than wait until the general election when it is an issue he can use to lure independents?”
In other words, If he can FAKE being a conservative long enough to fool Republicans into nominating him, He can go back to being the NE liberal he always was!
Wow I did not expect that from him so I did not think to check!
How disappointing
And you don't think that's his fault? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that once you pass universal compulsory healthcare, especially in a left-wing state, it will soon be loaded up with stuff like cheap abortions and socialist regulations. And no doubt free sex change operations and euthanasia coming soon.
In fact, the cheap mandatory abortion coverage was already in the plan when Romney signed the damned thing. And he's surely smart enough to know what would happen after he saddled the state with it and left office.
Don’t worry. Moments ago I banned Jim Robinson. This will never happen again.
I think you owe Jim Robinson an apology. The headline is not fake, he just added comments in brackets the way many on FR do: I clicked through and here is what I saw:
How disappointing
How moronic. I did check, and Jim used the same original title the source used, so if you did a search it would come up. As for the parenthetical addition to the thread title, that's a common way around here (for freepers who have been around awhile) to make a personal editorial statement or further clarify what the thread is about. Big deal. If you're so disappointed, go cry in your milk about it.
Are you literate? The title IS the article’s title. Jim put parenthesis in for his separate comment.
In other words, why play up during a primary a health insurance plan to woo social conservatives who really arent interested, rather than wait until the general election when it is an issue he can use to lure independents?
In other words, Romney must hide his true self because his own party would revolt.
People with your attitude help make Romney look like a kook.
