Their “cruise missiles” may not be anything sophisticated by current standards. The German V-1 was a cruise missile.

The V-1 was a ballistic missile. Flys in a parabolic arc. It had fins....but no wings.
A cruise missile flys like an airplane...point to point in a more or less straight line....with wings.
