I also watched the interview with George on This Week. Fred was very Presidential and took control of the interview immediately. George tried several times to cut him off and Fred stopped it. I was very pleased, but not shocked. I think he has found his game and is moving around the MSM very well. He is going directly to the people and they feel a little of themselves in him.
I especially enjoyed his response to George’s inquisition as to his “executive experience.” “Leaders hire managers.” I felt it was a home run aimed at Rudy and Mitt. The interview was very good.
Fred Thompson will be the Republican’s choice for our “Pro-Life” party. Rudy will fade into the background and support the WE THE PEOPLE candidate: Fred Dalton Thompson.
Fred is such a compelling guy. I’d feel safe with him at the helm.
What with the new attack plan from former NYC fire fighters - I suspect they will dampen Rudy’s rise in the polls.
That's precisely how I felt about his performance with Russert on MTP. It'll be interesting if the same pundits who spun that as a negative performance also do that for todays interview. There are a bunch of folks in both the old and new media who don't like Fred because he isn't sufficiently defferential to THEM. But then, of course, there are people like Bill Kristol who balance them out.
