It’s “not nice,” I’ll grant you that. But, that’s a far cry from “unAmerican.” Mitt Romney’s own church describes the Roman Catholic Church as “the Whore of Babylon.” Does Mitt Romney believe this, or is he an “American,” by his own self-serving definition?

I've been a member all my life and never once heard this. If a Mormon said this he certainly wasn't speaking for the church. Could you please provide a source?

Maybe. But, Romney himself is not engaging in any denominational debates or accusations, nor should he or any other of the candidates. It's pointless and inappropriate.

The President is not a religious office and it is senseless to have discussion about dogma and mythology in a presidential campaign that should be about issues relevant to American citizens. In the 2004 campaign I heard ZERO discussion of Kerry's Catholicism versus Bush's Presbeteryianism or whatever he is.
