IIRC, Levaquin is a calcium scavenger, which is why they warn you away from antacids, etc, within an hour or two of taking it.
THis may not be the problem, but if you are low on calcium, that can cause cardiac arrythmias, among other things. If your pulse is weak or irregular, get to a doctor, please.
Good morning, I could be low on calcium, I never thought of that, I take calcium pills but never was a milk drinker. I've been off the Levaquin for about a week now. Then I got my daughter's Upper respiratory infection. Those were the medicines that made me so ill. The Zotex Lax made me dizzy & drowsy. The clarithromycin I took with soup or yogurt as I can't eat, my throat hurts too much. I did get tested for step throat which I don't have. I have a call into my doctor to see if I can get in today because I've been taking these pills since last Wed. I can't swallow & I feel worse. If he can't see me today I may as well go to the ER because I would think I should feel better not worse. Spending the day in bed did help but I can't do that as I have a whole house to run & an 8 yr old to take care of.
One of my problems is I have Hep C from a blood transfusion I got back in 1982. I'm used to getting sick easily & being tired but I can't remember feeling this sick since I was a child.
