How many parent know or even care, that “Leave It To Beaver” episodes are still aired on TV? I even tune it in from time to time, to stir old memories, where the daddies went out to earn money for food, clothing and shelter for their families, and mommies stayed home, raising the children, and praising the daddies?

That, and the Andy Griffith Show, and the Food Network are among the few TV items welcome in our home. Oh, and Glenn Beck! :)

My two youngest children (now 14 and 15) watched Leave it to Beaver and the Brady Bunch for years. It wasn’t until they’d been watching it for years that I became aware that they had thought it was satire all along. To quote my son, “Women cleaned in high heels and pearls? C’mon Dad, it pure saccharine but it’s funny.”
