What makes me wonder is why the other DemonRAT candidates are not concerned that the Hildebeest was given questions favorable to her at their expense by these plants.

These plants could have been man eating plants as seen in the Little Shop of Horrors. One could imagine the horror coming from the Hildebeest's rival candidates then. They have not woke up to the fact that these "plants" did as much damage as the man eating kind. And this tactic did huge damage to the American political system.
