And now innocent lives are being deliberately put at risk to push the militant homosexual agenda.

How tragic. I don’t know how it is now, but it used to be you couldn’t donate blood or blood products if you were a homosexual. Some serious screening took place, particularly at places where people were paid for their donations. I don’t know how it would work with organ donations, since the person is dead and you are kind of in a hurry.

She;s in shock and they are in denial. HIV is as likely to be in the body of a gay man as rotten teeth in the mouth of a man who has never gone to the dentist.

and had previously rejected another donor "because of his lifestyle," her attorney said.
Sounds like the lady was literally 'dead set against it' When it came to her donor's lifestyle. Tragic.

Next they'll tell us that it is the queers' constitutional right to infect healthy, straight folks with HIV. If we complain, it's off to sensitivity training or maybe we'll even be charged with hate crimes for speaking out.
Twenty years ago someone may have called me crazy for such a statement ...
To: wagglebee
This makes no sense to me. What's the point of being an organ donor if you're HIV positive, anyway?? It's like giving a hungry child a poison cookie.
If there was any premeditation involved here, the "donor" was truly demonic.

the smartest thing that hospital can do is to settle out of court as fast as they can draw the paperwork up, for $50 million, in ADDITION to lifetime top notch medical care for her AND all of her immediate family members. they should buy her a brand new home of her choice in addition to the money. None of this can atone for what they did — but it might make them look more saintly after the horrible thing they did.
Wow. words fail me. i cannot imagine what i would do in her place.

I can’t even give blood, because I lived in Europe and traveled to England in the 80’s.

The hospital and the doctors were way wrong to put this woman at risk like this. In my own mind, it’s beyond wrong, irresponsible, negligent, etc. Enters the realm of criminal.

Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network in Elmhurst and the University of Chicago both knew the kidney donor was high-risk and did not inform the patient, Demetrio said. They are in very serious doo-doo. This poor woman. She risked death once, was happy to get the new kidney, and now these people have signed her death warrant for sure. Prayers up for her.

It is my understanding that many high-risk groups are routinely flagged on their medical files to alert lab personnel of possible risks. For instance, East Asians are tagged for Hepatitis and so on.
Why are open homosexuals exempt?
Medicine may be hazardous to your health...

The homo probably signed the donor card years and years ago. Homos are almost always liberals and as such do things that “feel good” without thinking about consequences.
Hospitals are bureaucracies and do things according to protocol no matter what. Unfortunately, common sense is not part of the process...especially when a protected minority and money are involved.
To: JustaDumbBlonde
You’re right - you cannot make up the absurdity faster than it occurs in fact.
The day is coming when married couples will be the last choice for family or adoption licensing. All manner of freaks will be given primary consideration and support funding.

I think it’s turning around. I think america will slowly but surely creep to the right from now on...at least for the next 20 years. I predict that once the baby boomers are dead, it will accelerate.
Yes, I’m an optimist.
To: wagglebee
In no way do I fault the donor, despite his lifestyle which he disclosed, he offered the gift of life to those in desperate conditions, had the recipient been in heart or liver failure then even a otherwise healthy person might accept HIV which can be kept in check for years.

consistent with our open processsome open process - don't let the patient know...
Not about to let all the money for transplants slip through the fingers, more likely the process
