So what, it just wasn’t convenient for him to do it earlier, like during his Presidential run?

The money's better.

American soldiers "raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, cut off limbs, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in a fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan...." — John Kerry, 1971

No, maybe Kerry is going to allow Pickens a peek at a redacted copy of his military record.

He wouldn’t release it during the election because he was running as the intellectual candidate and the military record contained his college grades and military test scores, all of which compared poorly to George Bush’s.

"...now maybe he is up to the letter 'K'."

You mean, the one that comes three letters after "F"?

Maybe Dan Rather is going to produce some fake but accurate evidence to prove that Kerry spent Christmas in Cambodia.

" . . . I am prepared to prove the lie beyond any reasonable doubt."

Yep. I'll be willing to bet that anything horseface "proves" will be along the line of something such as the allegation that he wrote himself up for a purple heart for a wound no more serious than a thorn prick was, in fact, more serious because it actually broke the skin and required an antibiotic in addition to a band-aid.

It is also possible that he has doctored or created the necessary documents. Otherwise, he would have signed his 180 form back in 2004.

Kerry Says He’s Finally Ready to Refute Swift Boat Veterans [semi-satire]

Senator John Kerry (D-Mass.) whose bid for the presidency in 2004 was damaged by attacks on his vaunted Vietnam War record by a group called “Swift Boat Veterans for Truth,” says he is now ready to refute their allegations.

“We have put together a powerful and irrefutable rebuttal to the scurrilous charges made against me by these right wing fanatics,” Kerry asserted.

Kerry declined to disclose any of his reputedly irrefutable proof at this time saying that “the American people have not yet shown a sufficient measure of regret and contrition for voting against me. They disrespected me—a decorated veteran—and reelected a draft-dodging doofus. Until I get an apology, I’m holding my fire.”

Kerry said he expects that America’s eagerness to finally hear the full story “will build to an unbearable level. Then they’ll apologize just so they can satisfy their curiosity. They won’t be disappointed.” The senator
did offer a teaser when he hinted that he has evidence indicating that the war would have ended differently had he not been forced out of action by his wounds.

There is a retired petty office north of Atlanta (who likes to remain anonymous) that knew JFKerry on the boats, hated him as a coward then and still does. Kerry was a pompous arrogant man with an agenda in Viet Nam.

he began signing the Standard Form 180 . . .

Newspeak to English translation is something like: He signed a Form 180 only for specific records which he cherry-picked to support his version of events. As for the remainder, he is still considering when to include them.

This story will quietly go away as soon as Kerry figures out that he’s headed for a “discovery” style interview with Boone’s attorneys if he challenges one of the charges.

While fellow veterans and reporters disproved many of the group's claims at the time, Kerry refused to air ads responding to the criticism, and even his own response was muted for fear of legitimizing his critics' attacks.

What a crock! He and his buddies disproved nothing! Nor did reporters!

What? Is this true, he signed Form 180?

I want Boston.com to show everyone this 180. They are either shills for Kerry or wrong. Here on FR this has been an on going topic and if he had ever released these records we at FR would be all over it.

“On page 237, they say that before we left on the mission I ate a breakfast that included eggs. In fact, on that particular day, I was sick and skipped breakfast, and I have the medical evidence to prove it”.

That's what I'm thinking, too, because Kerry is such a sea lawyer he'll parse out everything.

Lurch winning the senate seat: Two heireeses fortune
Lurch proving he was swiftboated: A cool T Boone million
Lurch winning the presidency: priceless.
Now we know that a cool million is worth more to Lurch than the presidency was.
