"Diamond v. Pearl" Student Blasts CNN-(CNN screened and gave out questions at the debate)
Atlantic ^ | 11-16-07 | Atlantic

Posted on 11/16/2007 1:15:17 PM PST by tcrlaf

Maria Luisa, the UNLV student who asked Hillary Clinton whether she preferred "diamonds or pearls" at last night's debate wrote on her MySpace page this morning that CNN forced her to ask the frilly question instead of a pre-approved query about the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste repository.

"Every single question asked during the debate by the audience had to be approved by CNN," Luisa writes. "I was asked to submit questions including "lighthearted/fun" questions.

I submitted more than five questions on issues important to me. I did a policy memo on Yucca Mountain a year ago and was the finalist for the Truman Scholarship. For sure, I thought I would get to ask the Yucca question that was APPROVED by CNN days in advance."

Now, Luisa is getting "swamped" with critical e-mails.

So what happened?

Writes Luisa:

"CNN ran out of time and used me to "close" the debate with the pearls/diamonds question. Seconds later this girl comes up to me and says, "you gave our school a bad reputation.'

Well, I had to explain to her that every question from the audience was pre-planned and censored. That's what the media does. See, the media chose what they wanted, not what the people or audience really wanted. That's politics; that's reality.

So, if you want to read about real issues important to America--and the whole world, I suggest you pick up a copy of the Economist or the New York Times or some other independent source.

If you want me to explain to you how the media works, I am more than happy to do so. But do not judge me or my integrity based on that question."

It is media COLLUSION with the DNC. Whether it is sharing the debate questions with members of the “right” political party (or primary candidate) or leaking so called “October Surprise” stories like Foleygate that the media and DNC BOTH sat on for months for maximum efficiency.

Then there are the hoaxes they conspire on like the communication for the forged National Guard memos.

“CNN demanded that I ask you a stupid question about jewelry ... but I really want to know where you stand on the Yucca Mountain nuclear wast repository?”

If a tv GAMESHOW could put a network and the participants in jeopardy for disclosing the questions ahead of time, why can’t the FCC go after the same “networks” for doing this during debates and “town hall forums”?

One person who went against the Hildabeast had her cat’s head left on her doorstep.

As I said, I stumbled across this on Daily KOS.

Even the craziest of the Crazies are starting to figure it out, but it’s far too late. She has already bought the nomination, the rest is just a Dog and Pony show...

CNN will cover up for a murderous leader, no doubt about it. They were silent about torture, murder, and abuse under Saddam Hussein so that they could maintain their Baghdad Bureau.

There is no doubt that they would do the same for Hillary R. Clinton. They certainly didn’t feel any patriotic duty or fear of repurcussion for broadcasting stories critical of the US war effort in foreign countries and blaming any “horrors” (real or fantasy) on the Bush Administration.

I’m surprised CNN didn’t script someone to ask Mrs. Stalin for her favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Better to get away from the whole “gate” thing and find a way to tie it to the “Twenty One” Game Show Scandal.

rigged quiz show == rigged debate == rigged election.

I don’t know.

I think anti-Bush partisanship fuels her supporters. They like how she gives us fits.

I don’t see them being FOR her.

Somehow, I just can’t see giving the Hildabeast a pearl necklace...

I can’t tell whether she’s a “plant” or not without an actual DNA test. However, I’m sure that her IQ is so low that somebody has to water her every few days or so.

On a larger scale, it looks as if CNN has "gotten the message" from Hillary's operatives and have returned to their obedient, fifth-column, Hillary promoting selves.

The "fellow-traveling" members of the "news" media have absolutely no idea just how good they have it in this great Country; and,

they have no clue as to how horribly miserable THEY would be if they ever get their way, and turn this nation into a global collectivist paradise.

Want to turn the anti-Bush crowd off to Clinton?

Point out (A) that Bush isn't running in 2008.

Point out (B) that Clinton is AGAIN and carrying on the Bush-Bush-Bush-Clinton/Clinton-Clinton/Clinton-Bush-Bush-Clinton/Clinton Oligarchy in the White House (1981-2012).

“they have no clue as to how horribly miserable THEY would be if they ever get their way”

“they” would be part of the Media Elite, and immune from the misery as long as they tow the approved Democrat Party Line...

That’s pretty much the way it works now, anyway...
