I saw an idiot at a police auction pay $50 for a one ounce silver coin from the US mint when silver was worth $5 an ounce. Oh my god, you must feel guilty as hell for not stopping him! Why didn't you stop him?

I couldn’t believe he had no idea what silver was worth. It was a lesson in auction fever. The money went to a good cause and he obviously had more money than common sense.
