I should know to avoid these threads- they always get me tearing up. This I hope answers all those who say all Muslims are evil. Yes I know that Islam is but that does not make them all possessed monsters.

Sadly enough, I've heard that right here on FR. Several times. I've believed in this all along and have said so on here on here, only to have some FReepers tell me I was "deluded," "over-optimistic," "too idealistic," and my favorite...my vision is "skewed" because of where I am. (More than one has said that!) I've heard many great stories about Iraq from returning troops and realize the DBM dare not report this. Rush had a soundbite one or two weeks ago about Charlie Gibson on the evening news concluding with a statement like:
"And in Iraq, well there is no news". He may as well have said 'well there is no BAD news for me to report.'
Too much faith in CNN, et al back home, I suppose.
Funny...I haven't heard from any of those FREepers lately. ;-)
Uh honey, FReepers don't watch CNN.

"And in Iraq, well there is no news". Well, except for the most monumental story of 2007. Except for that. LOL

I quit watching all the ABS, CBS, NBS non news long ago. I may watch a few minutes if the wife leaves it on and I happen to walk through the room. Those anchors make me sick.
Some of the troops returning from Iraq can’t believe the trash they see on the reports. They all say things like: “That’s not the same place we came back from.”

Some of the troops returning from Iraq cant believe the trash they see on the reports. They all say things like: Thats not the same place we came back from. I've said it when we've had CNN on in the chow hall here. We looked at it (past tense - they don't talk about Iraq anymore now that it has become peaceful), shook our heads and said things like "Where the hell are they talking about?? Not HERE."

"Where the hell are they talking about?? Not HERE."It doesn't fit the "Bash Bush. Bash Republican" agenda with their news cycle. Then, they wonder why their ratings and audiences are shrinking.
I don't know if you've been following this story.
Dramatic 911 call from right before shooting released (Audio at link)
Start of the article.
PASADENA, TX) - A dramatic 911 call from the Pasadena man who allegedly shot and killed two men accused of burglarizing his neighbor has been released. The dispatcher tried to talk him out of it.

This photo is “almost” like the photo of the MARINE flag raising during the battle of IWO JIMA. It [to me] carries that much power.

I was aware of this from a earlier post. Things slowly improve in the capital where a year ago, it was a total free for all.
Iraqi will slowly take back their country to pre-Saddam era given continued support.
Of course this time around it will be totally superior in every respect then anything they had previous that had a shred of good or decency to it.
