I agree, that is why he will not get the nomination, but if Democrats will vote for a rapist in a general election, then he could get all the votes that Gore and Kerry got, but I believe he would have got some swing voters that did not vote for Gore and Kerry. Bayh from Indiana is not a strong candidate but he could win a general election. Biden would win the general election if nominated, for the same reason that Bush won. He has a natural likeability, in spite of flaws and mediocrity.
The only reason biden appears Presidential is that the others on stage are just that bad.
