Just hours after withdrawing his spectacularly unpopular proposal to license illegals, Spitzer reversed course on his plan to require more online retailers to collect sales taxes - slated to hit shoppers just in time for Christmas. Spitzer's U-turn followed a new poll showing that 70% of New Yorkers oppose licensing illegals. The plan had also sunk his approval ratings to new lows.

Wow. A combination of a hugely unpopular Governor and a hugely unpopular cause. Gotta love it.
Eight of them were even registered to vote in American elections.
Under federal "motor voter" law, anyone receiving a driver's license automatically may register to vote.
Nothing but the "honesty" of illegal aliens prevents them from breaking one more law, and voting in American elections.
And Hillary Clinton thinks we should give driver's licenses to illegal aliens.
I wonder why?

No matter how you measure it, New York State is still No. 1 in combined state and local taxes, an analysis of the most recent U.S. Census Bureau data shows. The study was released on July 24 by the Public Policy Institute of New York State, the research affiliate of the Business Council of New York State.
In fiscal 2002, New York’s overall state and local taxes averaged $4,645 for every state resident, according to the study. That figure was highest in the country, and some 48 percent above the national average of $3,149 per person.
The Census data on state and local government finances showed New York’s combined state and local taxes on individual income are more than twice the national average, as are corporate income taxes, on a per-capita basis. General sales taxes, per capita, were 11 percent higher in New York than the national average.
All of that adds up to a total additional tax burden of $28.6 billion on New Yorkers, compared to what they would pay if state and local taxes in the state were at the national average, the study noted.

What’s more interesting to me about this is that during the debate, Hilly danced around the issue. Then, about a day afterward, she came out in favor of giving illegals driver licenses.
However, in a VERY John Kerry Flip-Flop, AFTER Spitzer pulled the issue from the table, Hilly suddenly decided that she opposed giving driver licenses to illegals.
And, she thinks she’s presidential material!!??
The driver’s licenses for ILLEGALS was ONLY so they could VOTE!!! VOTER FRAUD was behind it. The Dems will ALWAYS have VOTE FRAUD because that’s the ONLY way they win.
