Well I am sitting here seeing what is totally worthless to watch on HBO this evening and what pops up on HDNM(subscription hi def)but "Redacted" the new Brian DePalma - Mark Cuban agitprop movie. Scheduled for 9:15 pm or so CST. I won't be watching. But it unbeleivable the effort that Hollywood will go to in order to get its anti-American trash before an audience. Bet O'Reilly is not aware of this preemptive showing as he has been all over Cuban and DePalma for this cinematic abortion for some time now. I am cancelling Direct TV myself over this deal.
I wonder why the HBO website has no mention of it.
Email Bill O and let him know.
Maybe you should email O’Reilly, Yet.
Holy crap. That was fast. how long was it in theaters before the rotting, stinking carcass oozed onto cable?
Most likely this is a stealth, premptive showing to get it into some sort of distribution as most movie houses won’t show it. I have never heard of a new movie going straight to some sort of HBO or cable showing..except in this case. I think that it is an effort to get it out there under the radar to avoid more opposition if they were upfront with it. In other words, plain old duplicity and taking advantage of the unawares viewer to make a buck at the expense of our soldier’s lives.
Less than a week I think. Two a most.
Isn’t that the station Dan Blather is on now?
It’s not on HBO. It’s on Mark Cuban’s HDNet Movies channel. I think that channel is only available on Dish Network and DirecTV.
I noticed it listed on HBO on Demand $19.99, what a joke
“Its on Mark Cubans HDNet Movies channel”
The old show biz adage “break a leg” should apply to him on Dancing with the Stars.
$20 to watch it?
"A fictional documentary which is centered around a small group of American soldiers stationed at a checkpoint in Iraq. The film alternates points of view, balancing the experiences of these young men under duress and members of the media with those of the local Iraqi people, illuminating how each have been deeply affected by the current conflict and their encounters with each other. "
That is the sister station, HDNet. The movie is on HDNet Movies.
Forgive my ignorance, but does Direct TV have control over what HBO broadcasts? If not, wouldn’t cancelling HBO be more effective, especially if you let them know why you were cancelling?
Wow, I’ll bet the investors were impressed. (though Soros would consider it $ well spent, if he financed)
Cancel the HBO! Canceling DirecTV will do nothing to get it off HBO. DirecTV merely acts as a street to give broadcasters the avenue to get to your TV. To make the street safer you have to get the trash off the street. Getting rid of the street will not get rid of the trash.
I know its not HBO, but cable high def. Dish and Direct TV carry it which is the reason (among others) that I am cancelling Direct TV tomorrow. I will let them know why. I am looking for entertainment, not indoctination or propaganda that is designed to denigrate our soldiers or the country.
