Judith Regan, former book publisher, says a senior News Corporation executive encouraged her to lie to federal investigators about her past affair with Bernard B. Kerik after he had been nominated to become homeland security secretary in late 2004. The lawsuit asserts that the executive wanted to protect the presidential aspirations of Rudolph W. Giuliani, Mr. Keriks mentor, who had appointed him NYC police commissioner and had recommended him for the federal post. --SNIP-- Defendants were well aware that Regan had a personal relationship with Kerik, the complaint says. .....a senior News Corporation executive told Regan that he believed she had information about Kerik that, if disclosed, would harm Giulianis presidential campaign. This executive advised Regan to lie to, and to withhold information from, investigators concerning Kerik.
One of Ms. Regans lawyers said she had evidence to support her claim that she had been advised to lie to federal investigators who were vetting Mr. Kerik and who might have sought to question her about their romantic involvement. The lawsuit does not say whether Regan was interviewed in the vetting of Kerik's fitness for the federal post.........

Weird pattern of political contributions:

Well you have one thing right, I too wish for the end of the Primary so that the GOP can say good-bye to the phony Republican Rudy in the rear-view mirror!
If that puke gets the nomination the RATS will drop a scandal a week on him until election day.
Good point.
Trying to hide the Mark Foley scandal only gave it more impact on the election.
Judith Regan is a notoriety manipulator of the worst sort. As such, she was a brilliant publisher of sleazy best sellers.
But she wouldn’t be bringing these charges if she didn’t have the recordings she mentions. It’s not to the credit of Kerik or Giuliani that she was a former pal of theirs. Quite the contrary.
“Now I know why Hannity is such a rooty fan. His boss is a rooty fan.”
Didn’t Murdoch contribute to Shillary’s campaign?
The details of this, if true, are stunning.
Here is the complaint she filed—75 pages.

I used to think Regan was so smart and classy. I was really sad when she left Fox. Who knew she really wanted to be a bimbo? (Well, flirting with Howard Stern on the air was a clue, I guess.) And now she’s setting herself up to be used again. Tragic.
Murdoch is rooting for Hill and Rudy.
It'll sell the most copies of the NY Post if they are the matchup.
Read the complaint at the link I just posted. Clinton-like, all the way.
I found this one funny

Yes, he did, but it seems fox news is rooty’s own media outlet.
True that, I liked her too. But how many media/celebs are really freaks in disguise. I would say many.
Roger Ailes, Chairman and CEO of FOX News, has been a Giuliani political adviser.

That's not just weird. It's downright scary!
Almost all of the contributions are to GOP candidates. Hillary! is one of the few exceptions.
How can Murdoch (or Soros) lose if he owns the presidential candidates of both major parties?
Nice trick, isn't it.
Soros has 2 horses in the Dem race, Hill and Obama. I doubt he has any on the GOP side, but I could be wrong.
Not only did he contribute, he held a swish fundraiser for her.
See post 5.
Giuliani is no Republican.
