No, that is not what I was thinking.

As an average American, when I think of Duncan I think of Donuts. When I think of Mitt I think of a catchers mitt.

Most voters are not paying attention right now and won't until the last month or so. If the Republican nominee is named one of those how would it appeal to them? There is impact in a name.

The advantage they have, if they can get the nomination, is that there is a long time between getting the nominee and the actual vote. Oh, by then they will have name recognition.

I don't think either name says rich white country club.

I agree with you...Many would think it a silly exercise, but I believe there is validity in how voters perceive leaders based upon their name.

I don’t believe we will every have a HUCKABEE as president.
