LOL! Caller’s only concern about the writer’s strike is how it will affect 24.

Rush doesn’t have to endorse Duncan, but it wouldn’t hurt Rush to give Duncan Hunter positive press to increase his awareness with the people.

The Thompson/Hunter team is my dream team, though Hunter in another prominent role works for me also. Sec of Defense might be a better spot.

I know, it seems he is trying to stay neutral until the primaries are over. I am sure he has his preferences, but he doesn’t want to voice them yet. I have heard him say many times, it’s too early.
I wish he and others would get behind Hunter too!

It seems that Rush is Republican first, and conservative second. Substantiate that, with examples, please.

LOL! Callers only concern about the writers strike is how it will affect 24. Caller should turn the tube off and start reading books. He'll be much happier.

Did Rush just say that FNC’s “Half Hour News Hour” is cancelled forever? I only heard part of what he said... thanks!

In very few cases have I sided with a union in a dispute. The Writers’ strike is one of those cases. Their complaint is legit and they endanger no one with the strike. I’ve followed the dispute in their talks for about a year. There were plenty of opportunities to resolve this without forcing them to play the strike card. Of course, if the networks would admit their financial trouble because they are so divided from America, they might have a better bargaining position. However, that will not happen.

“Rush was late to the party concerning illegal aliens in the first place. He used to defend them, saying they were doing the work that Americans were no longer willing to do and that we needed them.”
Well maybe that explains it. He isn’t interested enough to research illegal immigration as much as the other issues of the day (and Hillary).
It’s early enough where we can get Duncan Hunter elected. Howard Dean was only 43% in the polls in December ‘03, and John Kerry was only 13%. THEN Kerry goes down to 4% only three weeks before the election.
I hope conservatives will galvanize around the strongest conservative we’ve had in a long time, from the social conservative issues to borders, etc. - Duncan Hunter.

24 was so bad last year I don’t care anymore, especially now that they will have that Jeraff on it.

Rush has a point though. It isn't like these guys are hurting...when they can afford luxury cars like mercedes, etc. it certainly appears to be that they're just big babies.

Yes, I think it’s gone forever. It had potential, but could have had better writers.

They are asking for 8 cents per DVD sold instead of 4 cents. (They were asked to go that low because when the last contract was signed DVDs were new.) They also want a portion of the download sales. These people wrote the show. They should receive something.
At least that is the basis for the dispute as I have found it.

If Duncan Hunter ran with Theresa Hines, the ticket would be a cake walk! ;-)

I couldn’t understand Rush’s overwhelming love of 24 last year. The acting and writing was laughable at best.
