I saw that recently on a documentary on,IIRC,the Discovery Channel.This same documentary went on to say that there's evidence that there's some kind of deformity in the coastal shelf along the coast of Chile which,they say,will eventually cause an earthquake and tsunamis of such enormous power and destructiveness that it will literally change the world (or something along those lines).
