I am not a country fan, but Wanda Jackson from Maud, Ok. should be on the list. She put Rockabilly on the map, and was one of Elvis’s girlfriends.

The reason that I found out about Wanda was that I was looking a relative of my husband’s. Wayne Jackson was from Maud as well. His father was a barber at the Palace Hotel in Seminole.
