hmmm...I always had the opposite impression when reading about Christ.
That they typical “evil” woman (the prostitute - the woman at the well) was treated with dignity and respect by Jesus - much to the confusion of the men surrounding him.
Jesus, yes...but the rest of the Biblical males, no....
Which means you have to pull apart the writings and think “Is this truth, or the bias of the hand of the author?”
I’m not saying I’m anti-Christian-— I am saying that there are those of use who don’t find as much comfort in the Bible as others take for granted.
