Republicans Issue Hillary Clinton Library Cards

Posted By Editor On November 13, 2007 @ 9:14 am In Campaign 2008 | No Comments

Susan Davis reports on the presidential race.

The Republican National Committee has been hammering away at the dispute over the release of records from the Clinton Library that pertain to Sen. Hillary Clinton’s (D., N.Y.) role — particularly on health-care policy — during President Bill Clinton’s administration. Now they’re also having a little fun with it. The RNC is circulating an email to supporters and asking them to forward to friends by Dec. 31 a petition to “inspire Hillary to agree to share the library documents as her New Year’s resolution.” The RNC gets new subscriber info for their supporter — and donor — lists, and signers get the Hillary Clinton Library Card.

“On the campaign trail, Clinton consistently speaks to her level of experience; yet, she will not allow details of that experience to be reviewed by the public,” writes the RNC. “The American people deserve to know what information is being guarded in these libraries.” Clinton’s lead opponents, Sen. Barack Obama (D., Ill.) and John Edwards, have also criticized the former first lady for failing to be more proactive in releasing documents related to her White House service.

She has no experience at anything other than being a deceitful liar - Why would she want to document that?

the irony is that she will be the democrat nominee for president anyway , and she will be elected by more than 50% of the electorate.

gah-rone-teed.

Obama has no room to criticize, since his records from his time in office in Illinois are not available either.

A twist to this clever idea would be to hand out the Hillary Library cards to illegal aliens.

In politics, nothing is more effective in bringing down your opponent then holding them out for ridicule. If people can be made to see any candidate as not serious, but buffoonish, off the wall, they will turn away in droves. Especially in a presidential race where the most powerful position on earth is at stake.

Exactly. That is why Rush’s auction of Dingy Harry’s letter was such a great success.

That’s funny! Would love to have a bumper sticker with that! Couldn’t drive that vehicle to church on Sunday though.

I think catchy, gimmicky things are what’s needed here.
Lord knows it is the ONLY thing the American people respond well to.

The only way I’d vote for Hitlery is if the Republicans run Ron Paul against her. The only way I’d vote for Ron Paul is if the Dims run Kucinich against him.

What’s Hillary Hiding?

In 2004, Hillary claimed that all of the records at the Clinton Library would be opened. She said on CNN’s Larry King Live, “That’s one of the things the library really stands for. It physically stands for openness with all the glass and the light. But he wants it to be a place where people come and really study. And everything’s going to be available.”

Nearly three years after the opening of the Clinton Presidential Library and the ensuing Freedom of Information Act Requests, less than half of one percent of the library’s documents are open for review.

ABC News reported on November 6, 2007 that another Arkansas library containing documents related to Clinton won’t be available until after the 2008 election.

On the campaign trail, Clinton consistently speaks to her level of experience; yet, she will not allow details of that experience to be reviewed by the public. The American people deserve to know what information is being guarded in these libraries.

After signing our petition, you’ll be able to print out your very own Clinton library card. Our goal is to have thousands of people sign this petition before December 31, 2007, in hopes that this will inspire Hillary to agree to share the library documents as her New Year’s resolution.

Please help us push this issue forward by signing our petition at www.clintonlibrarycard.com and be sure to forward the link to your friends.

Best Wishes,

Cyrus Krohn

It's out there, and getting circulated via email; you'll undoubtedly see it soon.

not sure if anything will make me vote for hillary!, but there is a promise to myself that guides me through every election cycle; i will never, never, ever, never, never never, ever vote for a democrat; never.

democrats are v.c.; they are khmer rouge, they are viet minh, they are brown shirts and followers of il duce, lovers of vladimir lenin, josef stalin and onanistic, petty tyrants. (period.)
