Well, as a radio guy who had to do a lot of weekend tire store and car dealer remotes, I figured Dennis might have possibly had to do them, too! Radio is a harsh mistress!

Amen! In my short and inglorious career as an oldies deejay, I remember remotes at carpet stores, religious bookstores, the State Fair, etc. Coolest of all was getting to be onstage host for Jr. Walker & the All-Stars!

The romanticizing of "indigenous peoples" is a popular Leftist myth, believed not because it is true -- "indigenous people" were just as cruel and raped the land just as much as later groups -- but because it is a way of attacking the Western societies and cultures that replaced "indigenous peoples."

Yup. I recently finished War Before Civilization: The Myth of the Peaceful Savage by Lawrence H. Keeley.

It comprehensively documents how much more violent and warlike prehistoric and indigenous civilizations were than is our own.

Something around 200M people died in warfare or were killed by their governments during the 20th. However, if the killing had been at the average rate for the dozens of prehistoric and indigenous culture the author studied, the number would have been more like 2B. This is one very good reason that the population explosion is a recent phenomenon.

Rolling Stone is toilet paper. I wouldn’t touch it for all its foulness. It keeps with the company of turds reporting their foul mouth crap... I won’t go near it or want it sticking to my shoe.

Well, until they "get mugged", then they become conseratives.

My parents also never cursed, AND they said that idleness (boredom) was for stupid people: a smart person could always figure out a good way to entertain herself.

I take a back seat to no one in my contempt for the left but placing an emphasis on vulgarity is very much not the point. It’s probably more a function of the magazine/audience than anything else. People who pick up a copy of Rolling Stone probably expect this sort of thing and feel that it empowers them (the reader) in some strange way. So the writers expect it, the editors expect it, the readers expect it and so the interviewees are only to happy to go along.

The left is destroying our country and our culture alright, but let’s not pretend that our institutions are so fragile that they can be destroyed by a word that people use across all political and socio-economic divides.

The dirty secret about Vietnam is that the “antiwar” movement WANTED the Communists to win. Jane Fonda told “us” how we’d all want to live under Communism if we only understood what it really was.

True but not sure it’s really a secret - pretty much there for anyone to see.

my summation would be two traits; nihilism and totalitarian impulse.

For supporting background of why you are spot on, see "Unholy Alliance," by David Horowitz.

It always made me gag when the MSM propagandists called them anti-war. Those people loved war --- any war -- as long as the Commie side was winning.

I've been a fan of David Horowitz since Radical Son was published. I very much admire the way he stands up to the leftist thugs at American universities, and I would recommend his website Frontpagemag.com to anyone.

>>I always thought greed more a characteristic of the American Corporate Right, although leftists like Larry Ellison have plenty of their own.

Prager’s short list of Rolling Stone Leftys Chris Rock, William Gibson, George Clooney, Billie Joe Armstrong, Jon Stewart, Eddie Vedder, Sam Harris, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, Jane Goodall, Bill Maher, Bill Clinton, and Cornel West inside themselves know that their actions and ideologies destroy everything they don’t control, including: our country, our military, our corporations, our religions and our families.

The mateiral payoffs for their behavior are huge. That’s why their failings reduce to greed.

The fact that none of them stand in opposition to tyrany, but instead allign with and promote it (rap music to Islamofascism) informs their cowardice.

They are talented cripples who no longer seek the truth, but instead run from it.
