At some point in time, we have to be realistic as to whom has a good chance of being nominated and winning. I’m not sure any of these choices is electable. If I have to choose, I’ll go with Fred, but I doubt he will be the party’s nominee.
“At some point in time” — that point is not now. That is after there’s a nominee. Before the primaries you pick your best guy on the basis of principles and you stick with him. How do you think we all got in this position where the media is telling us who our candidates are? It’s because of approaches like yours.

Whether one is "electable" or not is a false indicator. Any of them can be made unelectable in a moment by a single faux pas, not to mention any unknown dirt we don't know about yet, and the nastiness of the Clinton machine ad the MSM.
I pity those who would compromise principle for such a fleeting thing.
