The predator conservation group Sinapu has convinced the Colorado DOW to start new rules and tests for lion hunting.
There was a big effort by Sinapu to get the guy who recently shot a lion arrested. The lion had the guy’s dog in its mouth.
Not sure of Montana.
We are now allowed to hunt mountain lions here in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Nine taken so far in the past couple of weeks. Last winter, one took our kitty off our back deck. We saw it happen. Several neighbors lost small dogs around the same time. Another neighbor lost all the koi out of his pond. They are becoming a big problem around here.
I hereby sentence Sinapu to tend cattle and sheep, without weapons, in mountain lion and wolf areas.
Naw... This is Montana... Nobody gets too upset if you are defending yourself- Even if you don't have a tag... If you are worried there is always the 3S plan... :P
Sinapu was represented by the very long winded and shrill Windy something or other. When Wendy claimed that Colorado citizens should sit by and watch while a cougar eats their pet dog or cat, all H*ll broke loose.
It seems that the cat ladies and the dog owners were outraged, so much so that the Sinapu site was deluged with flaming email.
First rule of political life - don’t irritate the cat ladies.
