Really, I read, and have read quite a bit in my lifetime. Love the horror books, King, Koontz etal...

“18% of moderates who said the same thing”

Note how they are implying that moderates are closer to liberals here. And further trying to bolster the idea that “liberals are more open-minded” to listen to “opposing” views.

“And further trying to bolster the idea that “liberals are more open-minded” to listen to “opposing” views.”

And the liberal definition of “open-minded” is different than that of conservatives. I’m fairly conservative but I’m open-minded in that I’ll listen to opposing views, debate them accordingly. But to a liberal, “open-minded” means indoctrination without debate.

He often says it is because he is merely confirming what listeners already believed, not because of his powers of persuasion.

And this is the same for nearly all commentators, on radio, TV, the net, etc.

They’re trying to spin this as “liberals are more open to other points of view” - that’s pure BS.

I notice they don't mention liberals watching Foxnews... Liberals like shows with political themes because nearly all the shows with political themes have liberal themes (except on fox). That doesn't show open-mindedness to me - it shows conformity.

I'd guess conservatives have given up on movies, theater, museums, etc because the leftist messaging in those venues has become more and more blatant every year. It's not about not being open to hearing the other side, it's about being sick of hearing ONLY the other side. I'm sure their questions weren't focused enough to detect that...

The poll seems to say nothing about Rush Limbaugh’s listenership, it is all unscientific extrapolation. The main theme is that liberals are more open minded, which is not accurate.

‘what the hell are YOU talkin’ about’....or the ever ready

‘thats hors$hit’ hahahaha

after the lead ins you hammer em with about a half a dozen hard facts and they either shaddup....or (even more fun) they meltdown....ie: start to sputter; then the spittle flies hither and yon and then they begin to wildly flay their arms knockin over their coffeee....its just side splitting....and ever so entertaining....fun to see fun to do.
i usually end up with ‘ and just what part of the journey thru oz into never never land are you passing thru right about now? ..jees you’re somewhere circling the outer rings of saturn here lad it seems to me’..
it’s more fun than a human being ought to have....!

This story makes liberals seem to be high-minded rather than low-browed..... I think they are just to stupid to figure out what is going on... like their radio is broken or they are to fat and lazy to get up and change the channel after the infomercials about the miracle cure Xantos-jahobabab from the Swaziland desert.

“Maybe you will see the light and convert.”

Rush did. He stopped pooh-poohing “conspiracy theory”, NWO, etc since about 7-8 years ago.......plus he has evolved from a dependable Republican first, foremost, and always, into what I’d call “American, first foremost and always”.

I’d say that Rush has become what is “on loan from God” to those of us who are “American, first foremost and always”.

Of course liberals are more likely to watch programming with a political theme. Where is there any programming with a non-liberal political theme?

socialists don’t get a right to own anything, not my property and not the color red, which is one of my favorites. They should get an ugly color, like the color of puke

“...Limbaugh’s potential audience is larger than that of liberal competitors because more liberals say they will listen to conservatives than vice versa.”

Ah...so the message of this article is that Libs are more open minded than us narrowly focused bigots of Conservative persuasion. I say BS. If Libs are listening to Rush, then it is solely for the purpose of nitpicking his philosophies, and trying to find error or misstatements to ram him with.

Being extremely hard of hearing, I find the program difficult to attend due the excessive advertising (for me, very tiring). I enjoy reading at his site though. Rush has quite a great mind.

To say “there’s no way to inject liberalism into a football game” is to not watch Monday night football on ESPN. I believe it was the first game of the season they had Spike Lee on bemoaning Katrina.
