You are personally insulting me because you can't defend your position.

I am not a RP supporter in any serious sense.

Just compare this, the statistics on donation for RP

http://opensecrets.org/pres08/geog.asp?id=N00005906&cycle=2008

with this, donation for GW Bush 2000 election.

The Dallas zip codes show interesting patterns. 75205 is the zip code for University Park and Highland Park, incorporated cities within the Dallas city limits and about three miles north of downtown, often called the Park Cities or the Bubble. This is where much of Dallas' "old money" lives. The area is very Republican and very much an Anglo Protestant country club area. On the other hand, 75206 is the area immediately east of the Park Cities and is known as the "M Streets" area. While there are some old line Dallas families here, the area tends to be liberal, with a lot of young people, married couples without children, and gays. The median age here is 29 years old. There is a substantial Hispanic population in the southern part of this zip code. 75230 is another affluent area of north central Dallas, an area considerably older than the M Streets, with a median age of 41. It is almost as overwhelmingly white as 75205, though somewhat less wealthy (per capita of $52K vs. $73K). There is a substantial Jewish population in this zip code, with four synagogues located here, vs. none in 75205.

General characteristics of an area do not speak to specifics of the actual donors. However, the Ron Paul contributors may well cut across sociological lines. He is drawing large crowds in places as diverse as Philadelphia and Columbia, SC. The crowds appear dominated by younger, well dressed white males, with none of the stereotypes of badly dressed nerds, octogenerian Birchers, Goth or stoner types, balding hippies, or bearded survivalists much in evidence. However, only the primaries will determine if there is any real sentiment in the general public. If Paul crashes in New Hampshire with under 10% of the vote, his campaign will be just another minor chapter in electoral politics.

No, you’re missing my point. You’re arguing against your own statements.

Plus, you’re making an argument that ONLY this part of the column supports the notion that RP is banking on leftists to win him the RNC nomination. That simply isn’t true.

You’re playing the word parsing game taught at all DNC meetings. It’s the “depends what the meaning of “is” is” argument.

The column and referrenced supporting info speaks for itself. Sorry you want to waste time defending this nonsense.
