AUSTIN An ultra low-cost air carrier Monday announced it will begin service out of Austin Bergstrom International Airport and hopes to attract passengers with its price -- starting at $9.99.
The U.S. Department of Transportation granted Mexico's vivaAerobus the right to fly out of ABIA Monday afternoon. The carrier will fly nonstop to Cancun, Guadalajara, León, Monterrey, Puebla, and Queretaro.
The airline is no frills, and it will have a new terminal that will have no jet bridges, sophisticated baggage handling, gates or ticket counters.

I’m pretty sure all 30 million can be stuffed into all the nooks and cranies of the plane so we’ll only have to sponsor one load. Now that could be Cornyn’s alternative to the fence.

Great idea! And I now have a name for the program.
It's the "I'll Be Home for Christmas" Express.

Do you remember Aero Mexico? We flew them to Cozumel and noticed the nose of the plane had been temporarily repaired with duct tape. On our return, same plane, the duct tape could clearly be seen through the coat of fresh black paint. Surprise, the duct tape WAS the permanent repair.

Grace L. Ferguson Airline And Screen Door Company.
I just thought of a old tape my dad had of BoB Newhart.
What would a $9.99 ticket cost after fees, taxes levies, surcharges form both the Mexican and our government, local airports and cities?

I think we really are ON to something here!
Visit the “I’ll be en casa for Christmas!” volunteers at a mall near you, and give the gift that keeps on giving! Stop by and say “hola” to our Santa and consider an additional donation by droping your change into the Build-the-Freakin-Wall kettle.

Makes me think of the Grace L. Fergusson Airline and Storm Door Co. to me. (Bob Newhart-The Button Down Mind strikes back c. 1960)

I best stop here before I get banned or Bill OReilly stumbles across this post.I told that joke in 1960 to our Mexican skipper on a sailfishing trip out of Acapulco. He was a retired Mex army officer, educated in Los Angeles, but he didn't think it was very funny either.
